Bilbrough Falls, also called Goomoolahra Falls, is a waterfall lookout at the end of Springbrook Road in the Gold Coast hinterland. A short, sealed path leads from the parking area to a view of the falls dropping over a cliff, with the Gold Coast skyline visible in clear weather. The first lookout is wheelchair accessible, and picnic tables, shelters, barbecue facilities and toilets make this an easy stop to pair with other Springbrook sights. Water flow can be low in some seasons.

The waterfall and its lookouts

Bilbrough Falls

Bilbrough Falls is also known as Goomoolahra Falls. A mountain stream flows over the cliff and down into the valley. From the lookouts, you can see the falls, the Warrie Circuit track below and Springbrook Pinnacle. On a clear day, the view extends towards the Gold Coast.

The walk to the first viewing platform is a 250-metre return route graded easy. Its sealed surface makes this lookout accessible to wheelchair users. A second lookout lies a short distance east, but it is not wheelchair accessible.

Getting there and stopping for a picnic

Bilbrough Falls

The lookout is at the end of Springbrook Road, near the Queensland and New South Wales border. It is about a 40-kilometre drive from the Gold Coast and a 105-kilometre drive from Brisbane. The road is known for misty conditions on rainy days, so allow for that when planning your drive.

Parking, toilets, picnic tables and barbecue facilities are on site. Some tables have shelters. If you are combining the falls with other Springbrook stops, this is a dead-end road, so you will need to backtrack along it.
