Swanzy Beach Park is a coastal park in Kaaawa on Oʻahu’s windward shore, with open grass, picnic tables, sports courts and places to camp. Stop for ocean and mountain views, a picnic or beachfront fishing. The shoreline is rocky in places, and a seawall and shallow reef make swimming unsuitable. Swanzy Beach Park sits along Oʻahu’s windward coastline near Kaaawa. It takes its name from Julie Judd Swanzy, who donated five acres of her estate to the City and County of Honolulu in the 1920s for a beachfront park.

The park’s green space and picnic tables make it a place to pause by the coast, with ocean and mountain scenery. The shore is rocky in some areas, and stairs provide access to the water. A seawall and shallow reef at the water’s edge make swimming unsuitable. The park is used for beachfront fishing, and there are basketball and pickleball courts.

Swanzy is also a permit campground, with nine campsites. If you are planning to stay overnight, arrange the required permit. For a quick food stop, Uncle Bobo’s is across the street.
