The bay’s shore is a stretch of sand backed by dunes, with cliffs and trees around the inlet. The walk in and the lack of development help keep the setting quiet and natural. There are no toilets, cafés or water fountains directly on the beach; use facilities at Stackpole before setting out and bring any water or supplies you need.

There is little shade on the beach, so plan for sun exposure. The coastal path and views are part of the outing, whether you are heading down for time on the sand or continuing on a longer walk.
