Haad Laem Sing is a small beach between Surin and Kamala on Phuket’s west coast. Soft sand, clear water and large rocks give the sheltered bay a quieter feel than the better-known beaches nearby. From the south end of Surin Beach, a rocky trail takes about 15 minutes; a longtail boat from Kamala is another option. Swim when the sea is calm, or snorkel beside the rocks. Umbrellas and sunbeds are available to rent, though facilities on the beach are limited.

The bay has soft sand, clear water and large rocks along the shore. For snorkeling, head towards the rocks on the left side of the beach, where fish can be seen. Conditions vary: waves can push swimmers towards rocks, so take care near the water’s edge. Some parts of the beach have an easy entry into the sea, but rocky areas call for caution.

The tree-lined shore provides a quieter setting than the larger nearby beaches. Keep the beach clean, avoid loud music and take care around the rocky trail and jungle edge.
