Yebisu Garden Place was built on the site of the former Yebisu beer brewery, which gave its name to the area. The complex brings together shopping, restaurants, hotels and museums. The Museum of Yebisu Beer commemorates the brewery, and its Tasting Salon has beer tastings.

The Tokyo Photographic Art Museum is also in the complex and holds exhibitions. Check what is showing if you want to add an indoor stop to your visit.

Getting there and exploring the complex

The complex is an easy walk from Ebisu Station, and a covered Skywalk provides a route from the station. Once there, you can combine the upper-floor views with shopping, a museum visit or a meal. Restaurants range from casual to upscale, and the plaza is lit in the evening.

For photography, a small tripod may be usable in the viewing area without obstructing others. Allow time to explore beyond the tower; the wider grounds include additional sights, including La Maison Franco-Japonaise.
