One way to reach the castle is to walk uphill from Loutra. The route passes through scenic surroundings, but the trail can be difficult to pick out, so use navigation to help you stay on course. The site is also accessible by road, although conditions can be rough enough that a lifted SUV or truck is recommended.

Once at the ruins, explore beyond the main remains to find a small chapel. An early start helps you avoid the heat and crowds.
