Holy Land

Holy Land, or Tierra Santa, is a religious theme park on Buenos Aires’s Costanera Norte. Its streets and buildings recreate scenes from biblical Jerusalem, tracing events in Jesus’s life from the Nativity to the crucifixion and resurrection. Costumed figures and live performances bring parts of the story to life. The central spectacle is a large statue of Jesus that rises from Holy Mount to Handel’s Messiah. The park also includes references to Jewish, Muslim and Middle Eastern culture, so allow time to explore beyond the main route.

A route through biblical Jerusalem

Holy Land, known in Spanish as Tierra Santa, is a religious theme park built around the life of Jesus. Its recreated streets and buildings evoke Jerusalem, with settings for events ranging from the creation story and the Nativity to the crucifixion and resurrection. The route includes 37 biblical episodes.

Christian, Jewish and Roman settings appear across the park. Costumed figures and detailed installations help establish the scenes. Areas also touch on Judaism, Islam and Middle Eastern culture, giving you more to see than the central Christian narrative.

The Holy Mount and live performances

The park’s main spectacle takes place at Holy Mount, where a large statue of Jesus rises from behind a rock to Handel’s Messiah. The display is staged every hour, so you can plan your walk around it.

Live performances add another layer during special occasions such as Easter. The park also has statues of figures including Pope John Paul II, Gandhi and Mother Teresa, presented as people associated with peace. The dramatic religious scenes, including crucifixion imagery and wax figures, can feel intense; take your time through these displays.
