Gola della Scala di San Giorgio is a limestone gorge and ridge near Osini in Sardinia, with wide views over the valleys and towards the coast. Two easy walking tracks lead to panoramic points, and the rock walls also draw climbers. A deep fissure in the mountain sends out cold air, a striking stop on a warm day. Reaching the ridge involves an uphill approach and a flight of steps, so allow for the climb as well as the views.

The approach climbs towards the ridge, and the final ascent includes a long flight of steps beside the rock face. The route is described as a continuation from the area around Su Marmuri cave, with a walking route marked as trail 504. Ulassai is about 5 km away on foot, according to one route description.

The access road is narrow in places, so take care when driving uphill. The walk is a better fit if you are comfortable with an ascent and steps; there is no need to rush the final stretch.

The gorge is formed by high limestone walls, with the ridge opening onto views over the surrounding valleys. A large crack in the mountain is a notable feature: cold air flows from it, even during summer. The cooler conditions can make this a welcome stop on a hot day, but bring a layer.

The rock faces also attract people who climb. If you are visiting to walk rather than climb, the two easy tracks give you a way to take in the scenery without tackling the vertical walls.
