Funkturm Berlin is a radio tower beside the Messe Berlin convention centre, west of the city centre. Its observation platform gives you broad views across Berlin and the surrounding hills, including rows of wind turbines. You can take in the skyline from both indoor and outdoor spaces, so the visit works in cold weather too. The tower is a quieter alternative to Berlin’s more central viewing points, though its setting among the exhibition grounds feels industrial. A restaurant sits lower down, 55 metres above the ground.
Views from the observation platform

The observation level has both indoor and outdoor spaces. You can look across Berlin from outside, then return indoors if the weather is cold. Pictures of the skyline identify many of the city’s main sights, with descriptions in German.
The view takes in the city and the hills around it, where rows of wind turbines are visible. The tower also gives a distinctive perspective on the nearby International Congress Center and the exhibition grounds.
A restaurant below the viewing level

A restaurant is located 55 metres above the ground, below the observation platform. It gives you another way to take in the surrounding views during a visit to the tower.
