The Australian Armour & Artillery Museum

The Australian Armour & Artillery Museum is in Smithfield, north of Cairns, and brings together tanks, artillery and armoured vehicles from different countries and periods. Inside the large shed, you can get close to vehicles from the First and Second World Wars, including German Tiger and Panzer tanks, and see a V1 missile replica. A shooting gallery and Humvee rides add hands-on options, while a children’s play area gives younger visitors a break. The collection is extensive, so allow time to explore at your own pace.

Tanks, artillery and military history
