Cala Presili

Cala Presili, also called Capifort, is a small cove in Menorca’s S’Albufera des Grau Natural Park, near Favàritx Lighthouse.

Cala Presili, also called Capifort, is a small cove in Menorca’s S’Albufera des Grau Natural Park, near Favàritx Lighthouse. Its clear turquoise water and pale sand sit among dark rocks and hills, with the lighthouse in view. The shore can be a mix of sand and rock, so conditions may look different from beach photos. Reaching the cove means walking along the Camí de Cavalls from the parking area, but the quieter setting and coastal scenery make it a rewarding stop for a swim or a break by the sea.

The coast around the cove

Cala Presili
Cala Presili

Cala Presili is on Menorca’s north-east coast, within S’Albufera des Grau Natural Park. The surrounding terrain is rocky and open, with hills and vegetation around the cove. Its pale sand is unusual for this part of the island, where many beaches are more rugged.

The shore can be partly rocky, and wind and waves can change its condition. If you are choosing a beach for a long stretch on soft sand, be prepared for a more uneven shoreline. The clear water and the setting near Favàritx Lighthouse are the main draws.

Walking in from the road

The route follows a section of the Camí de Cavalls, Menorca’s coastal path. The walk from the parking area takes roughly 20 to 30 minutes each way and has little shade. The path also links the cove with nearby Cala Tortuga, so you can include both beaches in the same outing.

Favàritx Lighthouse is close by and can be visited on the way back. Access by private car may be restricted in summer, so check the current transport arrangements before travelling. A bus from Mahón towards the Favàritx area is mentioned as an option.
