The International Flag Display lines a promenade in Canberra’s Parliamentary Zone with 110 flags representing diplomatic missions, the European Union and the United Nations. Walk among the flags, match them to their countries and look across the lake from the nearby waterfront. The display is an easy stop beside Questacon, especially if you are walking around Lake Burley Griffin with children. There are few information boards, so look up country and flag details before you go if you want more context.

The flags are arranged along a promenade in the Parliamentary Zone. You can walk among them and identify the countries they represent, then take in views across the lake or pause to relax nearby. On a windy day, the flags are especially animated.

Questacon is right beside the display, making it straightforward to combine the two stops, particularly on a family outing. The area also connects with walks around Lake Burley Griffin and other nearby points of interest.
