Electric Street is a narrow alley art installation on South Percy Street in Philadelphia, between Wharton and Reed streets and 9th and 10th streets. David Guinn and Drew Billiau created the LED-light work, set against painted patterns on a building. The surrounding alley has grown into an informal art stop, with miniature dioramas and yarn-wrapped flowers. Go in daylight to see the details clearly, and bring a camera for the colorful compositions.

The central installation pairs colored LED lights with patterns painted on a nearby building. The wider alley has also accumulated small dioramas and flowers wrapped in yarn, so there is more to look at than the light display alone. Some lights may be out; daylight helps bring out the painted and handmade details.
