A pond and fountain sit at the centre of the garden. The fountain was added in 1999, and the garden itself dates to 1920. It was designed by landscape gardener Jens Peder Andersen and castle architect Thorvald Jørgensen on the site of a former shipyard.

Look for the statue of Søren Kierkegaard, the Danish philosopher, among the greenery. Benches around the garden give you a place to sit near the water or beneath the trees.
