Sea World, also called Mořský svět, is an aquarium at Výstaviště in Prague 7. It is the largest sea aquarium in Czechia, with saltwater and freshwater tanks holding fish from around the world, as well as turtles and sharks. Children can explore a 25-metre coral cave with an aquarium built into the rock, alongside themed areas such as a pirate ship. Allow a couple of hours to see the exhibits. Saltwater and freshwater exhibits
Sea World is at the Výstaviště fairground in Prague 7. The aquarium’s displays include fish from around the world, with separate saltwater and freshwater environments. Its largest seawater tank holds 100,000 litres. A freshwater viewing tank holds 27,000 litres and contains fish from South America, as well as water turtles.
Three shark species live in the large seawater tank. Look for the sand shark among them. The aquarium also runs shark-feeding activities, when the sharks eat small fish. Special lighting effects in the exhibition simulate day and night.
The coral cave and themed areas
The 25-metre coral cave is built around an aquarium set directly into the rock. Other parts of the exhibition include a pirate ship and additional aquariums with sea and freshwater fish and other animals. These themed areas give families with children several different displays to explore.
