Built for Mihrimah Sultan
Mihrimah Sultan Hamam was commissioned for Mihrimah, the daughter of Sultan Süleyman and Hürrem Sultan. Architect Mimar Sinan built it between 1562 and 1565 as part of the mosque complex bearing her name.
The bath follows a double-hamam plan, a form used in the classical Ottoman period. Its arrangement provides facilities for both men and women. The building has since undergone renovation and restoration.
