The Umschlagplatz Monument stands on Stawki Street in Warsaw, at the site where Jews from the Warsaw Ghetto were gathered before deportation to Nazi death camps. Between 1942 and 1943, people were sent from here to Treblinka and other camps. The present-day square can look ordinary, a sharp contrast with its history. Come to remember those who were deported, and allow time for a quiet pause at this solemn memorial.
