Spiaggia di Cala Ginepro is a sandy beach near Sos Alinos in Orosei, on Sardinia’s east coast. Fine white sand meets clear blue and turquoise water, with a shallow seabed that suits children and less confident swimmers. Juniper trees and a pine grove behind the shore provide shade for a break from the sun. The beach has both areas with sunbeds and umbrellas and open sand, so you can choose between a set-up spot and more room to spread out.

Cala Ginepro lies near Sos Alinos, in the Orosei area on Sardinia’s east coast. Its shoreline is close to a kilometre long, with fine white sand and small, smooth pebbles. Pink granite rocks rise from the water in places, and the sea shifts between blue and turquoise over a shallow sandy bottom.

A grove of juniper trees and a pine forest sit behind the beach. They provide a shaded place to pause, and there are picnic spots among the trees. Several paths through the dunes and woodland lead towards nearby beaches, including Cala Liberotto.

The gently sloping seabed makes the water suitable for children and for swimmers who prefer to stay in shallow water. The cove’s clear water also makes it possible to look for fish and other marine life while snorkeling. Reefs and coral formations are mentioned among the underwater features.

Part of the beach has sunbeds and umbrellas, while another stretch is open sand. Nearby parking is described as free, but it can fill quickly. Dining options directly at the beach are limited, so bring snacks or drinks if you plan to spend several hours there.

Planning your visit

Cala Ginepro is easy to reach by road. The beach can become busy during peak summer periods, including around August 15, so an early arrival can help with parking. If you want a quieter stretch of sand, avoid the busiest dates.

Snorkeling equipment, pedal boats and kayaks are available to rent at the Ginepro Cove campsite from June 1 to September 30. Check availability with the campsite before relying on a rental during your visit.
