Potsdamer Platz is a square in central Berlin, ringed by tall buildings of steel and glass. After the Berlin Wall fell, the area was rebuilt, and several companies built their headquarters here. Shops, restaurants and the Mall of Berlin line the streets around the square. Six preserved sections of the Wall stand at the entrance to the Potsdamer Platz station, with information points, and one of the city's few remaining watchtowers is close by. In winter a Christmas market fills the square. The Deutsche Kinemathek museum of German film and TV and the Theater am Potsdamer Platz are also nearby.
