A café in Field’s former general store
The building was constructed by the Canadian Pacific Railway in 1915 and has housed several businesses, including a grocery store and a ham radio spot. It later became known as a general store in Field. The current family has run it as a café since 1991.
The café was formerly known as The Siding Café. The Truffle Pigs Café also occupied the building before moving across the road in 2008. Today, the shop combines casual dining with a general store, gift shop and liquor agency.
