Parque das Aves sits on Avenida das Cataratas, about 300 metres from the entrance to Parque Nacional do Iguaçu. The park covers five hectares of forest, with aviaries built among the trees. Some are open for visitors to walk through, bringing you into the birds’ environment rather than keeping every viewing point outside the enclosures. The aviaries reach eight metres in height. Their forest setting gives the birds room to move, while paths guide visitors through the different areas.

The paths are shaded, and a cafe provides a place to stop during the visit. Follow the park’s guidance around the animals: do not touch or feed them, and give them space.
