The Portland Aerial Tram’s lower terminal is at 3303 S Bond Ave, beside the Oregon Health & Science University campus. The ride gives you a high view of downtown Portland, the river and, on clear days, Mt. Hood and Mt. St. Helens. At the lower terminal, you can use the free bike valet; before or after the ride, pick up Stumptown coffee from the café inside the hospital. The tram is wheelchair accessible, and the observation deck gives you a place to pause and take in the city.
A connection to OHSU

The Portland Aerial Tram opened in 2007 to connect Oregon Health & Science University’s main campus on Marquam Hill with the South Waterfront. The route offered a way around a difficult road link: the hilly, two-lane approach to campus could become heavily congested, affecting ambulances and nearby residents.
OHSU is Portland’s largest employer, and as many as 20,000 people visit the campus on a typical day. The tram provides a direct connection between the two areas.
Views from the ride

From the tram, look out toward downtown Portland, the river and the surrounding mountains, including Mt. Hood and Mt. St. Helens. At the upper end, the observation deck gives you time to take in the view. The ride is wheelchair accessible.
